Bari Weiss is a prominent American journalist and political commentator, born in 1984. Her career in journalism has spanned several notable publications, including The Wall Street Journal, where she worked as an op-ed and book review editor from 2013 to 2017. She later joined The New York Times, serving as an op-ed staff editor and writer, focusing on culture and politics from 2017 to 2020.

Weiss has continued to expand her presence in the media landscape, founding the media company The Free Press in 2021. That same year, she launched the podcast Honestly, offering her commentary and insights on various topics. More recently, she has taken on the role of editor-in-chief at CBS News, a position she has held since October 2025.
