György Sárközi

Hungarian writer

György Sárközi was a Hungarian literary figure, born in 1899, who made significant contributions to the country's literary scene. As a poet, translator, and writer, he was actively involved in various publications, showcasing his work and talent. His writings were featured in prominent literary reviews and journals, including Nyugat, which was a notable platform for Hungarian literature.

Sárközi's career spanned several years, during which he contributed to various journals such as Pandora, Válasz, and Kélet Népe, between 1927 and 1939. However, his life took a tragic turn in 1944 when, due to his Jewish heritage, he was deported to the work camp of Balf. Unfortunately, he did not survive the harsh conditions and died in the camp in 1945, at the age of 46, leaving behind a legacy of his literary work.
