Petre Roman

Petre Roman is a Romanian politician and engineer who played a significant role in the country's transition. He served as the Prime Minister of Romania from 1989 to 1991, marking a notable shift in the nation's leadership. Roman's tenure was distinct, as he was the first prime minister since 1945 without a communist background, despite his initial socialist leanings.
