Rywka Lipszyc
Polish-born Jewish diarist and Holocaust survivor (1929 – ?)
Rywka Lipszyc was a Polish-born Jewish diarist and Holocaust survivor, born in 1929. Her life took a drastic turn when she was deported from the Łódź Ghetto, a confinement that marked the beginning of her experiences in various concentration camps during World War II.
Rywka's journey through the concentration camps included Auschwitz-Birkenau, where she was initially sent, followed by a transfer to Gross-Rosen. At Gross-Rosen, she was forced into labor at its subcamp in Christianstadt, also known as Krzystkowice. Her final recorded movement was to Bergen-Belsen, where she was taken on a death march, and unfortunately, the details of her life beyond this point are unknown.
