This early success paved the way for his involvement in the Spaghetti Western genre, which led him to relocate to Italy.

As Damon's career progressed, he transitioned from acting to producing films in the early 1970s. This shift marked the beginning of a successful production career, during which he founded several notable companies, including Producers Sales Organization, Vision International, MDP Worldwide, and Foresight Unlimited. Prior to his transition into producing, Damon was also a part of the vibrant Dolce Vita social scene in Rome, mingling with other prominent actors and actresses of the 1960s.
