Justus of Tiberias
historiador y erudito
Justus of Tiberias was a Jewish author and historian who flourished in the 1st century CE. His life and work are known primarily through the writings of Flavius Josephus, who responded to Justus's historical accounts in his own work, Vita. This suggests that Justus was a notable figure in the field of history, whose writings were significant enough to warrant a response from a prominent historian like Josephus.
Despite his importance as a historian, Justus's own works have not survived intact. His History of the Jewish War, which was published around 93/94 or shortly after 100 CE, is now known only through fragments that have been preserved in other works. These fragments provide a glimpse into Justus's historical writings, but the full extent of his contributions to the field of history remain incomplete due to the loss of his original works.
