Roy Turk

Roy Kenneth Turk was a prominent American songwriter and lyricist, renowned for his contributions to the music industry. His collaborations with various composers yielded numerous notable songs, with one of his most significant partnerships being with Fred E. Ahlert. Together, they created the popular 1929 song "Mean to Me", which would go on to become a jazz standard. Additionally, Turk's work with Lou Handman resulted in the 1927 hit "Are You Lonesome Tonight?", a song that would later be revived by the legendary Elvis Presley.
